A man was left needing hospital treatment after he was attacked outside his home by a person wielding a wooden plank.
Derbyshire Police released footage of the assault, which happened in Bryant Lane, South Normanton, at about 06:40 GMT on 10 March.
The man, in his 70s, can be seen opening the gates of his driveway shortly before he is struck around the head with the plank.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
